Grm us business lines technology is looking for a sr scrum master to support two platform teams consisting of six agile squads/teamsThis first platform team is our policy data integrations team known as team axisThey provide reusable solutions for transmitting and translating policy data, policy xml governance and schema managementThe second platform team is our rules team that supports our rules engine and rules authoring (development, standards and support) for our product, policy and underwriting systems.
As our srScrum master, you will partner with the product owners and scrum masters supporting these teams todayYou`ll work with them to create alignment with the bl delivery release trains they support to ensure we are delivering high quality solutions, capabilities and technology enablersThis will require coordination, communication and facilitation across multiple trains supporting the various business imperatives and epics in our domain driving towards 10% market share and profitability goalsYou will lead, organize and assist our scrum masters in their quarterly planning increment (pi) events and coordinate with the other release train engineers / srScrum masters to ensure alignment on pi schedules, dependencies and outcomes.
Additionally, you will partner with your scrum masters to facilitate their program execution, removing blockers and to assit them in continuous improvement activitiesYou will be responsible for developing strategies for ongoing development of agile capabilities within our organization and foster collaborative partnerships for training and coachingMost importantly, you get to use your servant leadership capabilities to empower and energize the teams you support and creating a culture where everyone can bring their best and authentic self to work!
About the role:
Implements consistent process and tools and identify emerging best practices and issues to help continuously advance agile methods and practices.
Work closely with executives, business unit leaders, product owners, and squads as an expert on agile methods and to educate organizations to use a variety of approaches to deliver customer value in both business and it teams.
Ensures successful delivery of large impact and/or cross-functional product initiative by assisting in the identification and solution of organizational impediments which limit team`s customer centricity, productivity, and/or quality.
Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams, collaborate and facilitate quarterly planning with large groups, manage portfolio backlog of epics and features, and facilitate decision making with product management, senior leaders and architects.
Coaches, mentors and provides guidance to scrum masters, technologists, architects and other members of the squad.
Provide feedback to management at all levels regarding the progress of agile transformations within their teams.
Bachelor degree in communications, business, computer science or a related discipline and at least five years of it and project/program management.
Requires ability to manage the delivery of high level capabilities across agile release trains and business functions
Requires solid portfolio management skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple agile initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
Requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff.
In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
In-depth knowledge of safe (scaled agile framework), scrum, kanban with three plus years` experience as a scrum master, product owner or agile coach.
Strong communication, facilitation, presentation and consensus building skills desired.
