We are looking for an experienced BD Executive to join our Sales & Marketing function based in Nawam Mawath, Sri Lanka
As the BD Executive, you will:
- Grow the company's air and ocean freight business/services, in accordance with the sales strategy
- Find, develop and qualify leads, then convert them through the sales process into prospects and customers. Maintain a sales pipeline to achieve agreed growth targets
- Manage customer interactions including fostering relationships, making customer calls and closing deals
- Drive the business and grow the company's revenue, market share and profitability
- Build relationships at all levels and represents the company in a professional manner, including presentations to the customers and representation at industry events.
- Incorporate the daily use of the Global CRM platform to document sales activity and relevant customer business details.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years experience in Business Development within Sri Lanka
- Experience in acquiring new customers for ocean, air and customs brokerage.
- Able to building strong and long-lasting relationships with new & existing customers in order to develop additional business opportunities.
- Grow Revenue and Volume Footprint to achieve economies of scale and service reliability.
- Engage with Network on Global Account Development.
