Essential job functions
Participate on senior sales leadership team to interface with all aspects of the pharmaceutical business to assist in the development of field strategy, deployment and programs to attain company goals.
Lead direct reports /1st line leaders in the implementation of corporate strategy in a team environment of rsd’s, work collaboratively with market access team (mars), marketing, cross-franchise teammates and key account managers to maximize results and one alcon approach.
Develop dm’s to operate their region as a business unit: needs analysis, strategies, resource allocation, opportunities, supervising/training reps.
Accountable for leading all talent management and talent development in their region working to build a pipeline of future alcon leaders.
Customer interaction as needed (in addition to co-travel listed above) recruiting, interviewing, hiring & training dm’s and sales representatives.
Interact with internal departments to assure external customer satisfaction and provide field with necessary on-going support.
Administration: business/sales analysis, strategic and tactical planning, performance reviews, call-ins, budget control, expense reports, home office projects, computer communication and utilizationPersonal development- management, coaching, computer, interpersonal, etc., skills.
Fiscal responsibility: $300-350mm in sales
Region market share growth
Region strategic product sales
Region sales execution: sales call plan, product position order, multiple product interactions, reach and frequency.

Standard minimum requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18yrs; assoc.+14yrs; m.s.+7yrs; phd+6yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in english
10 years of relevant experience
6 years of demonstrated leadership
Bachelor's degree, masters degree in business/marketing preferred
10+ years sales/marketing experience
4-5 years frontline sales leadership (preferred)
Strong planning and analytical skills
Proven ability to develop, motivate and inspire people
Business-to-business sales and pharmaceutical sales
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Pharmaceutical experience preferred
A minimum of 3 years eye care experience preferred
Marketing experience preferred

These are field based remote roles1 rd will lead the western region of the united states while the 2nd rd will lead the eastern region.
