Habitat for humanity international (hfhi) is currently seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a program operations specialist with the long-term volunteer programs teamGuided by data-driven insights and organizational initiatives, the program operations specialist is part of the program operations team which designs, implements, evaluates and revises the processes and procedures necessary to operate the habitat americorps programProgram operations is responsible for participant enrollment and onboarding and americorps project completionProgram operations is also responsible for project monitoring, reporting and compliance, and grant year close outThis position can be based in either americus, ga, atlanta, ga or be based remotely and will require approximately 10% domestic travel.
Special events –
** support logistics and operations for in-person and virtual events, department staff meetings and other events as appropriate
** support the procurement process for venues, vendors, lodging, speakers and presenters, materials and supplies
** provide fiscal support to events including requests for proposals, contracts and agreements, purchase orders, invoices and payment or reimbursement requests
Implement processes -
** to prepare, enroll and onboard program participants
** to document the successes of the habitat americorps program via progress reporting and performance reviews
** to maintain the integrity of the habitat americorps program by performing program participant compliance reviews including but not limited to site monitoring (including regular progress reporting) and contractual reviews
** to meet all federal grant requirements of the habitat americorps program
** to meet all habitat for humanity international requirements of the habitat americorps program
** to bring programs to a close and exit/graduate program participants while supporting continued engagement
Program support -
** provide support to the overall department through full participation and engagement as part of the habitat americorps program team
Evaluation and revision -
** the program operations team continually evaluates and revises processes and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency
** bachelors degree or equivalent experience
** 1 to 2 years related experience
** demonstrated excellent oral, written and virtual communication skills, including public speaking.
** ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-cultural team.
** detail orientated with strong organizational and planning skills and ability to meet deadlines.
** excellent interpersonal skills with strict adherence to deadlines and ability to multi-task.
** excellent computer skills in a microsoft windows, office, particularly the ms teams, environment.
