Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote/Blockchain

On behalf of our Blockchain client, iBizpeople is looking for a pragmatic and self-motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join a newly created development team and to participate in different Blockchain projects made up of multicultural teams distributed throughout the world.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Head of Technology, Head of Product and the engineering team to design and build platform which are scalable, testable, maintainable, highly available and secure.
• Help development teams automate their work with your CI CD expertise Advise, guide, and promote AWS and Cloud based solutions.
• Drive the automation of all development, infrastructure and operations processes using a variety of tools including Terraform for IaC.

Required Skills

• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD and one or more CI/CD platform ideally Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Services including ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, Route53, WAF & Shield, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch, SNS, IAM and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of event streaming with Kafka or Kinesis.
• Knowledge of docker and kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code with Terraform. Other parts of the HashiCorp stack are a beneficial.
• Has worked with a microservice architecture
• Proficient in JavaScript (NodeJS) and Python.
• Experience in network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP Strong knowledge of Git.
• Communicate fluently in the English language.

Advantageous

• Ability to guide and mentor other engineers
• Good troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
• Understanding of data security approaches and standards along with knowledge of the OWASP Top 10.
• Can implement and promote a DevOps culture within the business.
• Any SRE Experience.
• Experience working with Web3 technologies
