The Role
Commercial Analytics in Europe is a new venture for Veeva. Our objective is to use Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning to help the Life Sciences Industry engaging with Health Care Professionals in a relevant way and improve patient care. As the Senior Principal Data Engineer, you will be reporting to the Director of Commercial Analytics in Europe and be part of the initial leadership team. Your responsibility will be to lead the data engineering-related activities as well as designing and owning the overall technical solution architecture. In addition, you will help to grow our data engineering team and take on the responsibility as Technical Product Owner to work with the Senior Principal Data Scientist and Advanced Analytics Manager to define the product roadmap.
The Senior Principal Data Engineer will closely work with our Advanced Analytics Manager as well as with customers in order to stay close to the business problems we aim to solve. You will design the code pipeline for the overall solution with the aim to achieve customer success and productize the different solution components. You will also lead the data engineering efforts overseeing and supporting hands-on implementation, ensure quality control and align with other disciplines, e.g., data science, business experts to ensure overall solution delivery. You are entrepreneurial, meaning that you take action fast and bring up new ideas if you see opportunities to improve what we do.
As we grow you will help to recruit new colleagues as well as take responsibility for their professional development. You will build our data engineering community by defining the agenda of extracurricular activities which can include research initiatives, conference participation, or support of social impact initiatives.
We are a Work Anywhere company and this position is remote with light travel in Europe to meet with customers or team members.
