Data Engineer (Remote)

Orchestrating the delivery of thousands and thousands of packages on a daily basis is no small feat. It gets even more interesting if you ship from multiple locations, with an emphasis on going for the fastest and most economical (and ecologic!) option.

As a Data Engineer, you will be in charge of building scalable and reliable data pipelines that fuel several solutions used by customers and internal stakeholders to make critical decisions.

• Together with product managers you will define and prioritise business and customer problems.
• Together with software engineers, you will design solutions to capture data, transform it and make it available through downstream analytics solutions
• You will continuously improve the Urbantz data infrastructure to deliver better performances and more sophisticated capabilities for the users of the platform

• You have a degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science
• You have solid experience designing data pipelines and automating related infrastructure
• You have an excellent command of SQL, at least one scripting language (e.g. Python/Javascript) and one programming language (e.g. Java)
• You have a demonstrated advanced knowledge of both NoSQL and RDBMS data storage platforms
• You are comfortable using popular git workflows
• Your English is fluent

• You have specific experience with the Urbantz current data stack MongoDB, Azure Synapse Analytics, PowerBI
