This is a remote position, though we do maintain physical offices in Japan, Russia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Switzerland - which you would be welcome to stop by if you're in one of those regions.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people with a desire to grow as Infrastructure/Cloud/DevOps/SRE engineers.
This position is suitable for people who are able to work at night.
Requirements:
Software development experience with any language
Experience with Linux (being able to investigate OS and application performance issues)
Basics of Linux shell scripting (shell, bash)
Experience with docker containers on kubernetes.
Understanding main network protocols and principles (IP, TCP vs UDP, HTTP)
Desire to grow as Infrastructure/Cloud/DevOps engineer (strong motivation is the key factor for being successful in this position)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or relevant experience
Able to work at night including weekends
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
Business-level English (written and spoken)
Desired skills:
Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
Interpersonal and customer-facing skills, with the ability to competently discuss complex technical issues with the software, operations, and leadership teams
CI/CD tools and practices
Running and managing (micro) services in a cloud e.g. AWS
Version control systems
Proficient in database management (RDMS, NoSQL)
Day to Day:
Troubleshoot and solve challenging operational issues in a complex environment.
Supporting server instances across several Clouds.
Work directly with developers, customers, and partners to provide unique solutions to our customer's individual needs for their application deployment.
Build and maintain ansible playbooks, terraform files, and scripts to automate and deploy resources and configuration changes
Drive customer communication during critical events
Create tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the team or customers
Work on critical, highly complex customer incidents.
Answer in support chat
Monitor logs and metrics from (micro)services and servers.
Physical work hours:
The candidate will work on a scheduled shift, (8 pm – 8 am MSK or 8 am - 8 pm MSK)
12 hours work and 36-hours rest
