The Team -- Engineering Team

SigFig’s B2B2C business model relies heavily on our ability to advise and partner with our enterprise clients to drive digital transformation. The Engineering Team builds end-to-end professional services for our enterprise clients helping to reimagine, design, execute, and operate new ways to make financial advice more accessible to their clients. This team does this by leading multi-functional initiatives working side-by-side with enterprise clients and all of the functional areas within SigFig including engineering, marketing, product, customer success, business development, and SigFig’s executive leadership team.

• Serve as the main QA Analyst for all things accessibility.
• Partner on accessibility audits
• Proactively engage with Internal and External teams to shape accessibility roadmap and strategies to move forward, with a focus on expanding customer retention and growth

• Maintain and grow subject matter expertise within the industry and deliver expert level accessibility and process improvements
• Monitor progress of active projects, in collaboration with primary testers on delivery teams

• Review deliverables to ensure alignment with clients’ and internal teams’ expectations
• Provide coaching and mentoring to assigned project resources in the areas of accessibility and the related industry vertical
• Act as subject matter expert providing pre-sales support as appropriate for complex or custom services opportunities
• Act as subject matter expert providing support to the legal team as appropriate for complex or custom services opportunities
• Conduct reviews of client contracts for Accessibility deliverables
• Prepare annual VPAT and WCAG statements

• Direct industry-specific best practices development and method for disseminating to team members
• Write accessibility acceptance criteria for all new UI designs and developments.
• Audit designs prepared by designers to ensure designs are built to be inclusive of people with disabilities.
• Assign and manage accessibility testing efforts within the QA team
• Work with client QA teams to triage accessibility defects reported by clients
• Coordinate delivery by managing defect severities and business priorities
• Provide accessibility training to QA, Development, Design, and Management teams

Ideal SigFigian for this Role

• 5-7 years in the digital accessibility space with a deep understanding of technical skills
• Extensive knowledge of HTML, ARIA, and assistive technologies
• Knowledge of CSS and Javascript are preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• One or more accessibility certifications are a plus
• Prior experience in scoping and customer management
• Senior-level of consulting skills
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand way
• Superior customer focus to support building and managing client relationships
• Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced, dynamic environment
