Senior Network Security Engineer (Remote)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of network infrastructure and security, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing secure, high-performance networks. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Cisco CCIE, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet technologies and have experience with data center operations, including Cisco ACI and Cisco NDFC. Knowledge of Linux is a plus but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.

• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and detailed design documents for network deployment.

• Work closely with Project Managers and customers to align project deliverables with business requirements.

• Manage time and scheduling effectively to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

• Install and configure networking hardware and software.

• Create and implement robust network security measures.

• Conduct regular network performance tests and analysis.

• Delegate network maintenance tasks to junior network staff.

• Address escalated network support issues promptly.

• Prepare and maintain accurate network status reports.

• Be available to work after hours and on weekends when required for critical support and project needs.

Qualifications:

• Proven industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.

• Professional certification required (e.g., CCIE, CCDP, PCNSE).

• Extensive knowledge of network administration and architecture.

• Deep understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).

• Familiarity with access control models and network security principles.

• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, SolarWinds).

• Solid understanding of network operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS).

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Aruba Airwave and ClearPass.

• Familiarity with Juniper Junos.

• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl).
