Product Manager – Partnerships, Connectors & Integrations (Remote friendly)

OpenCities is looking for the next product-obsessed person to join our team. This is a remote-friendly role, our HQ is based in Melbourne, but we are spread out and open to candidates across Australia and New Zealand.

The product

Built with and for governments, the OpenCities Platform is a CMS that provides the web presence and forms functionality modern governments need to master each step of their customer journey. We take pride in building flexible and accessible products that help local governments reimagine how to build, deliver and evolve their website and online services.

With a code-free, drag & drop approach, OpenCities enables governments of every size to create a world-class digital experience, in a fraction of the time and effort of traditional web projects. We are a small, but mighty (and growing!), team that powers millions of resident interactions around the world. It’s an exciting time to join, as we take our product to the next level in spaces like business intelligence, intranets, and knowledge management ecosystems.

The role
This is a newly-created Product Management role in a newly formed team whose mission is to cement OpenCities as part of the GovTech ecosystem while bolstering the number of fully supported and paid connectors that our customers can take advantage of.

Integrations come in many forms, all with the goal of enhancing user experiences and driving efficiencies: things like Eventbrite to power local events, Zapier for trigger-based data automation, Okta for identity management, and Esri for geospatial mapping & local intelligence… the possibilities are truly endless!

The Product Manager role is all about ensuring that our connectors work is customer-centric, with outcomes that are delivered early and often. Your day to day could be broken into a few key areas across product management and customer success including:

• Curating the future of our connectors roadmap alongside other OpenCities leaders
• Creating compelling briefs that help everyone understand what success looks like and articulate what residents and our customers need
• Ensuring our customers and stakeholders enjoy clear and supportive communications around our connectors efforts
• Partnering with customers as connectors move through Alpha, Beta, and full production release phases – ensuring frequent feedback loops, smooth rollouts, and happy customers
• Contributing to customer-facing guides that allow our customers to configure out of the box connectors, and build their own integrations into our systems
• Supporting your Squad to move past roadblocks and focus on outcomes
• Work to foster team health and alignment
