Content Editor (Venezuela- remote)

Veterinarians.org is a research and publishing organization under the OnePet family of companies that lives by that guiding principle of pets are family. That's why our mission is to provide pet parents with the most up-to-date expert information and resources fur-families need to make better, more informed decisions that support the health and happiness of our companion animals.

You must have a keen eye that goes above and beyond finding grammatical mistakes and spelling errors. Our editors should be able to spot and integrate missed keyword opportunities, optimize articles based on Natural Language Processing techniques, and ensure all articles meet our in-house guidelines. We will provide you with the training required to follow our article formats.

This person is a talented writer and editor who generates engaging and original content for our products and business. You will research topics and develop interesting and informational content that will appeal to our audience. This position requires a skilled, science-minded, tech-savvy writer and editor who can create appealing, insightful content that will reach and grow our audience.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented editor to work with us on an ongoing basis that can help us with our multiple properties. You will initially start out learning and training on our Iceland.org project and take ownership of it from concept to completion. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducts in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
• Maximizes site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) keywords and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
• Stays current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create more substantial, more engaging content.
• Interfaces with colleagues on planning, organizing, and content execution in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintains content style and brand consistency across all products while keeping projects on schedule.
• Edits and polishes existing content to improve readability

Qualifications:

• SEO knowledge and understands factual content writing
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong command in written English

This is a contract position that requires a full time commitment. You will be expected to attend weekly meetings and handle projects independently under the guidance of our content manager. (EST Working schedule)
