DevOps Engineer/SRE (remote possible)

Senior DevOps Engineer 

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to support the growth of our infrastructure, which is based on an exciting and constantly evolving technology stack. You will be working in collaboration with our engineers, data scientists and architects, and your mission will be to design, implement and maintain our deployment pipelines, databases, clusters, and running instances. You will also be expected to take initiative on the usage of any other technology that would be beneficial for our infrastructure. 

Job description:

• Building and scaling infrastructure that powers systems opening millions of orders every day 

• Automating the releases across multiple environments 

• Monitoring the health of the infrastructure

• Participating in the implementation of messaging services 

• Developing system failure/recovery considerations and recovery plans 

• Working on short term recovery (delay server strategy)

• Working on the reliability of our systems 

Background and experience:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in system administration or a related field 

• Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and clustering 

• Experience in Kubernetes and Docker Swarm is an added value

• High-load, data-intensive, geographically distributed systems expertise 

• Knowledge of DB administration, Postgres, MongoDB 

• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform or similar 

• Knowledge of AWS

• Ideally, experience in an environment with streaming data (e.g. Kafka or Pulsar)

• Great communication skills to ensure building effective bridges between different stakeholders

• Capability of having a helicopter view understanding of our constantly evolving tech organization

• Willingness to make suggestions and ability to communicate effectively 

• Proactive challengers who will propose ideas and solutions 

• Self-starters with a spirit of statistical analysis 

• Team players who are able to take ownership of a project while collaborating on it with colleagues 

• People with an interest in financial/capital markets
