Engineer - Die Design 

The extrusion Die design is crucial role in development and optimization of extrusion Dies used for the extrusion process. It requires proper knowledge of Die design theories, CAD tools, process parameters & analytical thinking.

The main job functions of this position will include:

• Design and develop Dies for new product development in extrusion.
• Optimize critical Dies using finite element analysis (FEA) techniques.
• Review customer profile designs, assess feasibility, and suggest improvements.
• Provide Die cost and lead-time estimations to the marketing team.
• Review Die trials and identify design improvements as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Die manufacturing team to ensure design conformity and drive process improvements.
• Work with the extrusion and Die correction teams to enhance die performance.

We seek a dedicated, result oriented young individual with good design engineering capabilities, communication skills and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position. 

The suitable candidate should possess:

• B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• 1 - 2 years of hands on experience in a design role in a related industry.
• Proficiency in using Auto CAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Siemens NX.
• Hands on experience with FEA is a distinct advantage.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in both Sinhala and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
