Assistant Manager – Tax Administration and Planning  (Location-Ekala)

Job Responsibilities

Tax Planning:

• Work with the Group Tax Division to develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring legal compliance.
• Analyze tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, and divestitures.
• Stay updated on tax law changes to identify opportunities for savings and risk mitigation.

Tax Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare tax forecasts and projections to support budgeting and financial planning.
• Conduct research and analysis to resolve complex tax issues.
• Generate tax reports and analytics for management’s strategic planning.

Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, including income tax, VAT, SSCL, and other relevant taxes.
• Work with the IRD to satisfactorily attend to and resolve tax audits;
• Work on processing CIT refunds and VAT refunds
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary data for tax reporting.
• Review tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements for compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

 Candidate Profile

• Member/Passed finalist of ICASL/ACCA/CIMA.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in an audit firm.
• Preferably a certificate course or diploma in taxation.
• Experience in taxation or employment in a tax-related role.
• The position will be based in Ekala.
