Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Senior Data Scientist to help our Data Insights team to work primarily with the product development and management teams.
The Job…- Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and recommendations
- Proatively identify gaps and opportunities for marketing teams to optimize existing and create new marketing experiences/campaigns
- Develop creative yet statistically sound methods of measuring the performance and incremental impact of marketing campaigns
- Advise on the design of AB tests and analyze/present results
- Build and deploy machine learning and statistical models such as Customer Lifetime Value, Lead Scoring, Segmentation, etc end to end through scoping, researching, prototyping, and productionizing
- Create and monitor KPIs
- Mentor more junior team members
- Develop dashboards and perform ad hoc analysis
- Perform light ETLs as needed for the role
You…
- 5+ years of experience building impactful data analytics and science projects
- Experience with marketing measurement tools such as media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution
- Advanced ability to perform data segmentation and manipulation directly using SQL and Python or R
- Experienced in working with large granular enterprise datasets, web clickstream and marketing/media dataset experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with statistics and ML packages and using those to derive business insights
- Able to organize, prioritize and assist with business requests with adequate scoping and stakeholder expectation setting
- Data visualization skills and experience with BI tools (Tableau/Looker)
- Strong presentation skills, being able to author and present insights to the leadership team, and influence decision makers
- Knowledge of data tracking, database architecture, ETL/data preparation tools, APIs a plus
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams to design scalable and future-proof instrumentation
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or related areas)

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $125,000 - $170,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
