Principal Security Researcher
We are looking for an experienced security researcher with a strong background in application security and bot protection to join our fast-growing Security Research team. You will be working closely with security researchers to bring the latest in web protection to the Signal Sciences product. You will take a lead role in how we design, develop, and ultimately ship new detection mechanisms to our customers.
This role is limited to non-US only.
What You'll Do
- You will oversee the research and implementation of new detection and defense features in our core product
- You will work together with security teams to build automated test systems
- You will work with the Security Research team to identify and build defenses against the latest web attacks, specifically around anti-automation and account takeover
- You will write testable and high performance code to detect and block malicious attacks
- You will lead requirements gathering and technical documentation of new product features
What We're Looking For
- Technical expertise in web application security, especially around anti-automation and bot protection
- Experience working in distributed, highly available, low latency systems
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Solid experience/knowledge in browser and mobile application internals
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners and solely lead large scale projects and decisions
- Strong experience developing software in modern DevOps environments and containerized technology
- Deep understanding of the HTTP protocol, modern application architecture, and proxy technologies
