Account Executive - High Tech + Financial Services, DACH
We are looking for an experienced and talented Account Executive to join our team, to grow our client base across key markets in the DACH region, with particular focus on the Finance and High Tech verticals. This person will focus on customer acquisition, driving revenue, adoption and market penetration in a targeted list of prospects and accounts for the DACH region.
There is a need for strong experience selling cyber security, acquiring new business opportunities with major financial services, insurance, or high tech companies in the region. The ideal candidate possesses both a technical sales background and a strong marketing and business development acumen, that enable them to drive an engagement at the CTO, CISO, CIO, CMO, and VP of Digital level. They should be prepared to develop, be accountable for, and execute against a clear plan to consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.
The Account Executive is an individual contributor position, where you will be supported by a Sales Engineer and a fantastic marketing team spanning product marketing and lead generation to ensure you have all the tools and insights you need to sell Fastly across the DACH region.
This role is limited to non-US only.
Responsibilities will include:
- Effectively and independently deliver the Fastly company story, value proposition, and product demonstrations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to drive revenue and market share in the assigned market
- Direct prospecting into list of priority accounts
- Develop and maintain account plans for the key, strategic opportunities
- Work closely with Marketing department to plan and execute demand generation activities in the assigned market
- Managing all aspects of the sales cycle including: prospecting, sales campaign/meetings, negotiation close, account management
- Prepare and manage proposals, quotes, and contracts, including the coordination and delivery of RFP responses.
- Accountable for driving business, and meeting or exceeding quota goals and MBO’s
- Work closely with the the key stakeholders across the Fastly business including Client Services, Marketing, Product, Product Marketing to ensure the regional efforts are aligned and executed.
What We're Looking For
- Ideally 8+ years of technology (Cyber security preferred) related sales or business development experience with senior leadership and C-level executives across Technology & Marketing, with a proven track record of success selling into the DACH region.
- Experience with technologies and content delivery network services or security services is highly desired
- Strong network of contacts across the DACH region, both at end customers and partners/channels, in key verticals such as Financial Services and High-Tech
- A successful track record of selling a highly technical product to mid-size businesses and Enterprises, Including large multi-divisional/multinational companies.
- Be prepared to develop, be accountable for and execute against a clear plan to consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. Experience in developing, leading and executing growth of customers and teams is preferable.
- Self starter who can demonstrate development, growth and expansion of a business area.
- Fluency in German and English is required
Your Location
We are open to this person remotely from Germany, but Munich or Berlin would be preferred.
