We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager for our team in Hamburg. (We also offer to work remotely within EU)
Your responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of Data Protection in the HQ and the international data protection network of external DPOs
- Further enhancement to the international data protection management system in cooperation with the Director of Data Protection
- Assess data protection needs within the corporate functions and provide in-house data protection advice
- Further develop standard data protection processes to fulfil the accountability duties and implement them within the corporate functions
- Monitor international data breaches along with the Director of Data Protection, Information Security Officer and Revenue Assurance
- Draft, review and negotiate Data Protection Agreements (DPA) with processors, independent and/or joint controllers including Standard Contractual Clauses
- Create data protection relevant memos
- Provide advice on potential data protection issues of new services and processes
- Train respective functions in data protection matters (especially Sales, Marketing, Customer Care)
- Support the departments in drafting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
- Monitor compliance on matters of data protection legislation (e.g. e-Privacy Regulation, SCCs, CJEU decisions, etc.)
Your profile:
- Legal professional (LL.M., state examination or equivalent degree in business law, media law etc.) with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position with focus on data protection
- Strong analytical skills in order to advise on diverse ranges of complex data processing activities and
- Provide pragmatic and creative solutions
- Good understanding of economic interdependencies
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects in a structured and easily understandable way
- Process-oriented and independent work style
- Team player
- English and ideally another language (writing and presenting)
