Position Summary

Dodge Construction Network (DCN) is searching for a Principal Product Manager. We are seeking a data driven product leader with a high level of commercial judgement to deliver the most positive outcomes for customers and the business. We need a candidate who is passionate about customers and solving difficult data problems and is up to the challenge of defining and designing the products and strategy for a next generation SaaS platform providing millions of records of data to customers such as architects, engineers, product manufacturers, general contractors, and trades.

This position reports directly to the Vice President, Product Management.

Location

For this position, we are open to a remote candidate in the US or Canada.

Core Responsibilities

• Ideation and identification of financially material customer problems worth solving
• Defining market opportunity size, fit & differentiation
• Creating a cohesive product strategy and roadmap that brings to market solutions that maximizes customer value
• Ensuring success through data-driven monitoring of financial targets and problem solving when off target
• Driving quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment across a wide set of stakeholders including customers, engineering, sales, marketing and finance.
• Own and manage the product offerings for a customer segment including releases, roadmaps and go to market activities such as pricing, messaging, customer engagement, sales pipeline generation and sales enablement
• Create, identify and evangelizing new concepts that result in business model innovation (product, sales, services and delivery)
• Accountable for organizational and business objectives/targets and is involved in long-term planning and managing complex issues to ensure success of business strategy
• Lead a cross-functional team to drive delivery of differentiated high revenue impact products and features
• Develop specialized knowledge of latest commercial market trends and competition in the commercial construction space including factors that differentiate them.
• Challenges the status quo by bringing new perspectives to existing solutions
• Applies critical thinking and disciplined approaches to help leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions
• Acts as a coach to colleagues with less experience; Is able to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus
• Shows ability to persuade stakeholders through reasoning, and data
• Can assess possible pushbacks and build an influencing strategy to ensure a positive outcome for the customers and the business
• Motivates the team towards continuously improvement and collaboratively problem solving to increase business impact

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 8+ years of product management experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of product management experience
• 2+ years working for SaaS search and advertising solutions.
• Proven track record of substantially growing a company with a network & advertising-based business models.
• Strong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and ability to improve product management processes, outcomes, and ongoing results
• Strong acumen of bring to market software lifecycle, software design and agile development
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Skilled with executing a continuous delivery methodology of build, test, iterate for a SaaS solution
• Experience with building data and analytics-based solutions
• Strong software technology and architecture skills including data science, machine learning, user instrumentation, data mining, SEO, SEM and the ability to evaluate trade-offs in technical choices

Compensation

Dodge Construction Network (DCN) provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role may be eligible for a market competitive bonus upon accepted offer.

Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000

For this role, we are only considering candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States and who do not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.
