ABOUT THE ROLE

In this position you will work on CrateDB Cloud, the Software-as-a-Service offering from Crate.io. You will be working on our React-based user interface, developing new components as well as maintaining existing ones. The CrateDB Cloud team is fully remote with developers in several European countries. While the role is front-end oriented, you will have the opportunity to work on the entire stack, the rest of which is primarily Python based.

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Develop and maintain the user interface for CrateDB Cloud, as well as other related user interfaces
Write clean, readable code
Code review and provide feedback for other developers' code
Work with the rest of the team to define required API contracts
Participate in daily standup meetings
Support the Product Managers with technical requirements

YOUR SKILLS

Proven experience as a frontend engineer or similar role (3 years+)
Craftsmanship to continuously improve and take over responsibility for existing code bases
Good knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem (yarn, webpack, etc), HTML, CSS and modern web frameworks (React, Tailwind)
Experience with test driven development
A good understanding of the principles of CI pipelines
Fluent English

NICE TO HAVE

Basic Kubernetes knowledge
A penchant for UX design
Experience working on a SaaS product
