Lead Product Manager, Healthcare Consumer Servicing

Capio is the leading player in the healthcare debt purchasing space. We are on a mission to build tools and services that help consumers achieve financial wellness.

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join the Innovation Group in our existing healthcare debt servicing division, reporting to the Vice President of Product Management. This is an opportunity to own and drive a portfolio of healthcare debt servicing products tailored towards a win-win resolution of medical debt for the consumer and Capio. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with curiosity, communication, and collaboration at the core of their work identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the roadmap for a portfolio of healthcare debt servicing products and solutions.
• Prioritize the product backlog to ensure delivery of roadmap objectives.
• Collaborate with design resources to build experiences that simplify the complex world of healthcare debt servicing.
• Engage daily with engineering resources and external partners to ensure successful launch of new features and products in a timely fashion.
• Develop key performance indicators for product portfolio and leverage them in decision making.
• Work with internal and external partners to secure resources needed for enhancing existing services and building out new products.
• Build go-to market plans covering finance, marketing, sales, and customer service.
• Conduct market research to stay on top of market trends and identify new product opportunities.
• Gather customer feedback through various channels to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for filling gaps in the product portfolio.
• Partner with the VP, Product Management to grow and manage the product team over time.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in the healthcare financial services space (revenue cycle, billing, collections, etc) is required. In depth understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle space is desirable.
• Understanding of the complexities of working in a heavily regulated industry.
• Experience working with outsource development teams and partners in delivering new products and enhancements to existing services.
• Tenacity to figure out how to build complex products from scratch.
• Demonstrated understanding of how to break large projects down into smaller deliverables for a continuous delivery approach.
• Ability to prioritize roadmap items based on metrics and business objectives.
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally at various levels of the organization from the Call Center to the CEO.
• Long term thinking that helps the organization make short term decisions with the long term in view.
• Recognize the value of testing and failure in building better products and experiences.
• Ability to say “no” graciously when appropriate.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: Commensurate with experience
• Bonus Structure: Percent of Base Salary, upon achievement of agreed upon goals
• Position is Exempt, with Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off
