Job Summary: 

Blavity Inc. is looking for a Manager, Talent Acquisition to partner with the Director, People Operations to build and oversee our Talent Acquisition operations. This role will be responsible for bringing the best and brightest to Blavity! The Manager, Talent Acquisition will work closely with the Director, People Operations to develop talent acquisition strategies, hiring plans, and employer branding initiatives. This role will track and manage key recruitment metrics and provide support to hiring managers with building job descriptions and implementing recruitment best practices. The ideal candidate is someone with experience as an in-house recruiter and strong knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques for a fully remote company.

This role will report directly to the Director of People Operations.

Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies and best practices to streamline hiring processes
• Partner with the Director, People Operations and Sr. Manager, Employee Communications & Programs on employment branding initiatives
• Execute strategic recruitment plan based on company hiring needs
• Track and analyze recruitment metrics to inform strategy recommendations (e.g. time-to-hire and source of hire).
• Actively source candidates in a remote environment, using LinkedIn, AngelList, and other online sourcing databases
• Partner with hiring managers to craft job descriptions and interview questions, and provide interviewer training to new hiring managers as needed.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle  for designated strategic roles (screening calls, coordinate interviews, manage candidate pipeline)
• Hire and directly manage recruiting personnel
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming legislation as it pertains to recruitment (e.g. job descriptions, posting requirements, hiring processes) and ensure compliance

Qualifications 

• Education: BS or BA or equivalent working experience 
• Required Experience: 5+ years recruiting experience, with 1+ year directly managing people
• Preferred Experience: Start-up experience; experience recruiting in B2B environments; Media or Entertainment industry experience a plus
• Technologies: Fluent in JazzHR or other ATS,  Google Suite or Microsoft Office

• A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be flexible to work in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone at least 50% of the time.
