Senior Sales Engineer

Equivalent of Data Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solution Architect

What you will do

You will:

• Provide support and consultation to prospective client engagements, including developing and presenting proof-of-concepts, tool demos, and technical presentations
• Understand use case requirements and challenges in order to provide solutions and recommendations that meet their needs
• Enable customer success on recommended solutions through training, coaching sessions, workshops, or technical labs
• Collaborate with the business development team to identify and qualify opportunities to execute upon sales strategies
• Develop trainings and skill journeys for internal or external use, staying current on industry trends and developments

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will also be expected to be able to be contribute as a member of a client engagement delivery team, take part in the development of our practice, aid in business development, and contribute innovative ideas and initiatives to our company.

Requirements:

• Degree-educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and presentation with the ability to effectively engage and educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for technology and a desire to stay current on industry trends and advancements
• 3+ years working with relational databases and query languages
• 2+ years building data pipelines in production and the ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Microsoft Synapse)
• Experience working with ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and other data engineering components such as container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) or orchestration platforms (Airflow, Prefect)
• Experience preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow to drive business results
• Expertise in software engineering or DevOps concepts & best practices is preferred
