The Senior Manager of the Product Security team will build a program around systemic investigations of security issues and driving remediation programs. The ideal candidate will work effectively with product and engineering teams to identify root causes and eliminate anti-patterns from Affirm’s products.
What You'll Do- Be the direct manager for information security engineers in the region – including elements of product security and enterprise security.
- Build relationships, provide security guidance, and drive initiatives with local development leaders.
- Drive research of critical CVEs/zero days and determine impact to Affirm.
- Engage historical vulnerability data to identify common themes and advocate for novel solutions to address issues.
- Audit our cloud environments to determine risks and facilitate required remediations to eliminate common vulnerability classes.
- Explore new solutions (vendor or open source) to bridge security gaps, tune existing tools, and develop custom rules to improve overall detection efficacy (less false positives, more true positives).
- Establish an external presence to showcase innovative techniques discovered by Affirm through publications and participation in industry events.

The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location. We are currently building operations in Spain, Poland, and Australia. Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from an Affirm office in their country of hire, and may occasionally travel to an Affirm office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events.
