Front-End Developer - Shopify

You will work closely with a team of strategists, designers, and experienced developers to create leading ecommerce experiences that are user-focused, beautiful and engaging, highly performant, and written with future reuse and maintainability in mind.Note: This is an intermediate/senior posting, but if you’re fresh out of bootcamp and/or have less than 1yr of front-end development experience, please consider our Junior Front-End Developer - Shopify position instead! Please don't apply to both, we'll put you in the right bucket either way.

• Implement the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required to develop and maintain Shopify themes and dynamic storefront experiences.
• Write clean semantic code, emphasizing performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Identify and develop reusable patterns with component-based code.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team including developers, designers, and project managers.
• Stay up to date and make recommendations regarding front-end technologies.
• Learn from other experienced developers and career growth mentors.
• Work in agile sprints and participate in daily project stand-ups (via Zoom).
• Perform cross-device QA testing to support multiple browsers and device types.

• Front-end development work experience (1+ years minimum)
• Proficiency in the Shopify ecosystem (theming, CMS customization, etc.)
• Solid understanding of modern front-end development techniques and solutions.
• Experienced with component-based or “atomic design” principles.
• Experienced with templating languages (Liquid, Twig, or similar).
• Knowledge of source control and code management via Git.
