What we are looking for
The System operations Manager will be directly responsible for the successful implementation, operation, administration, and support of all servers, IT assets, network infrastructure, services, VPN and applications working with partners where necessary. The role should have expertise and prior experience in working in the AWS environment and should be able to liaise with external partners and providers to manage a secure and stable network environment at Zinier. The role, at times, will also require presentations to Zinier’s end customers on Zinier’s approach to data and application security.
What we expect from you
Production and Network Operations
- Own production environments from availability, security standpoint, manage the network and services on AWS as a cloud platform.
- Define and implement network models, policies, software and automation that ensures UpTime. Develop strategies for Application UpTime including redundancies, traffic routing,
- Configure and administer cloud backup and disaster recovery infrastructure. Configure and administer backup technologies, snapshots and data recovery
- Monitor, troubleshoot and support VPN, LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure and efficient day-to-day network operations
- Ability to Implement, configure and manage switches, firewall, routers, wireless devices and similar systems.
IT Operations
- Implement, monitor usage and make decisions on all software assets deployed at Zinier including security, desktop, production, and monitor software.
- Implement and manage corporate wireless networks
- including access points, authentication and security, SSL remote access VPN solutions
- Responsible for desktop support, configuration and asset management.
- Maintain hardware, software and licensing inventory
Interfacing Responsibilities
- Guardian for the Company IT policies and procedures, change control, building and evolving them.
- Own the compliance process for GDPR, SOC2, ISO27001, Privacy Shield and similar certifications including coordination with the audit firms as needed.
- Use extensive technical expertise to build the business case for changes in the infrastructure architecture strategy
- Ability to work with outsourced vendors, coordinate responses while maintaining SLA and Uptime KPI.
- Collaborate with business owners to determine requirements for new systems and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, including robust analytical skill with a focus on preventive actions that enables high utilization of vendor skill sets
- Keen communicator who can own the space with network and edge operations in customer facing conversations
- Understand security, availability, reliability, privacy characteristics and drive initiatives that enable continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required in special projects
What you bring to the table
- 3-5 years of software IT management experience
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand a technical idea/concept
- Ability to present technical architecture / Zinier security overview to end customers
- Ability to work in a professional environment while interacting with peers and stakeholders
