About the role:
We are looking for a SHI Key Account Manager (all genders) for the SHI market with a focus on tender management. The role will look after our partnerships with statutory health insurers and associated tenders and support the development of digital health solutions that are intended for future SHI healthcare provision and are mapped within the framework of selective contracts, among other things.
You will work in our German Commercial team, with a strong focus on the German SHI market and the ZAVA offerings we provide for SHI patients. You will have the opportunity to gain deep insights into various projects within our ZAVA patient and partner services. You will work closely with our Commercial Lead, DE SHI, to help ZAVA design,and implement our end-to-end digital solutions with internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include a range of tasks from creating presentations for partners to researching potential partnerships and tenders, managing the tender and contract management process, drafting contracts and working with internal departments such as Legal, Marketing, UX, Operations and Engineering to build and develop partnerships.
Your day to day work will encompass:
- Regular screening and prioritisation of upcoming SHI tender opportunities in Germany for telemedicine (e.g. via DTVP).
- Conducting desk-based market research to identify potential business opportunities and, depending on size, tender opportunities and transforming these into internal business models for our canvas and portfolio process.
- Organise bidding consortia with external contracting/collaboration partners if required for selected tenders.
- You will be the main contact for the tender process internally and for the respective SHI partner, answering follow-up questions and effectively communicating information within the company (internally and externally).
- You will work closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to prepare and execute tenders for ZAVA in a timely manner and to the expected quality.
- Prepare and facilitate internal and external workshops within the project team as required.
- Internal and external project management of tender participations, including coordination of required tasks, responsibilities, schedules, involvement of partners and suppliers.
- Calculation of quantity potentials of tenders and preparation of a financial forecast taking into account different costing models to prepare the tender costing.
- Prepare and develop presentations on tenders for external purposes.
- Contract management and compliance with contractual obligations towards health insurance companies
- Representing the political interests and regulatory environment of the German SHI stakeholders in the development and implementation of market introduction strategies for our products and services.
- Performance monitoring of the selective contracts and support in forecast planning.

To fit into this role, you should definitely:
- Have a university degree in a relevant field (i.e. Economics, Health Economics, or similar).
- Bring experience in coordinating different internal and external stakeholders in a larger project and ideally accomplished already successful public tenders.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to navigate and share information across dynamic and cross functional teams.
- A strong eye for detail when it comes to sharing ideas and information with your stakeholders.
- Enjoy working on strategies and concepts, alongside being happy to be very hands on to support the wider team to execute things efficiently.
- Be interested in healthcare in general but mostly in revolutionising the German healthcare system with ZAVA.
- Be fluent in German and English.
It would also be advantageous to have:
- Experience in navigating a fast paced start-up / scale-up culture.
- Deep knowledge of the German healthcare system through work experience and basic knowledge of health economics.
- First hand experience in creating business models and roadmaps in a digital industry.
- A Project Management certification.
