DevOps Engineer

You will have the chance to use your solid skills as DevOps Engineer to deliver high-quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work in an agile environment in a small to middle-sized distributed team of skillful software engineers.

You will be a part of a software project that plays a crucial role in the field of eGovernment in Germany by introducing identity management, privacy, and secure communication channels.

  What are you going to do? 

• Design, provision, support and further development of our internal CI / CD environment
• Development of modern build and deployment pipelines
• Design, construction, administration and operation of the container platforms
• Support in the continuous further development of concepts, methods and tools in connection with software lifecycle management
• Close and agile cooperation with our international development team

Your skills and experience:

• Completed (bachelor's) degree, for example in the field of business informatics, computer science or comparable
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position and with the technologies and applications described
• Good knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes as well as safe handling of helmets
• Knowledge of a configuration management tool (Chef / Ansible / Puppet / Salt)
• Practical experience with CI / CD pipelines based on GitLab or Atlassian Bamboo
• AWS experience, especially with the VPC and with EC2 instances
• Basic knowledge in dealing with HashiCorp Terraform and HashiCorp Packer
• Well-founded handling of Linux, especially CentOS and experience with VMware ESXi
• Knowledge of the configuration and deployment of Apache Tomcat
• Experience with the Kubernetes Management Platform Rancher is desirable
• Independent way of working and ability to work in a team
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and solutions
