About the job
As a Vonage Data Engineer, you will be a part of our backend team, will play a major part in designing and architecting the database platform and will work in AWS cloud with different services like RDS Aurora, Elasticache, EC2, S3, Glue etc.
You will be responsible for database tuning and query performance, architecture and implementation of high availability strategies, database schema change automation and monitoring.
We challenge Data Engineers to get into the boots of a DevOps Engineer and work with Ansible automation creating database infrastructure in the cloud.

What You Must Have Experience In
- At least 3 years production experience with MySQL and/or Postgres (installation, upgrades and tuning)
- Deep knowledge on queries execution concepts in relational databases
- Experience with cloud services
- 3+ years of experience in data related roles
What You’re Good At
- No-sql, Redis, AWS RDS, ELK Stack, DynamoDB, Snowflake or similar
- Data ETL, data warehousing, performance profiling and analysis
- Database operations (monitoring, data migrations, backup & recovery)
