Master Data Manager

The Master Data Manager is responsible for management and control of master data that flows through our ERP and planning systems. This role will manage Items, BOMs, and production master data including all of the governance activities with aim for improving the quality, use, and management of data and information assets. The Master Data Manager will also drive the deployment and adoption of data governance framework for data policies and standards to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs, customer expectations, and regulatory demands. In addition, the role will closely work with Commercial Team, IT, New Product Development and R&D teams as well as plant Supply Chain, Logistics and Manufacturing and Operations Teams. This role will be reporting to the Plant Supply Chain Director and will be located out of our production facility in Franklin Park, Illinois.

What you will be responsible for:

• Ability to oversee supply chain, operation, sales, R&D, marketing data and maintain item master, regulatory, special instructions, formulations/BOMs, routings etc.
• Establish the governance and quality standards for the organization’s data management and ensures compliance across the organization Work with data strategy
• Develop customized data governance organizations, procedures, and policies that support sales, operations, supply chain, IT, and data strategies
• Develop and execute a communication and change management plan, collaborate with senior management in developing recommendations around policies, standards and framework for data governance
• Implements and maintains a data governance structure to support business needs
• Implements and tracks adoption of a data quality framework across critical data for groups
• Implements management information reporting and tracking around data governance and quality.
• Organize a routine of auditing data and procedure to make sure the system is running smoothly
• Engages with the industry to learn about best practices, gain insightful competitive and regulatory intelligence to help in building excellence in our governance and quality initiatives
• Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity

Who you are:

• You have a B.S. degree in relevant business or technical field
• Master's degree preferred
• You have 6+ years of experience with data management standards and practices, and leading Data Governance programs 4+ years in management/leadership role
• You have experience with SQL programing and database interface experience
• You have strong leadership experience working in an enterprise or cross-functional role
• You have strong interpersonal and communication/persuasion skills
• You have Proven project management leadership
• You have demonstrable ability to coordinate cross functional teams of business, IT and other key stakeholders
• You have experience with Oracle NetSuite
• PMP certification a plus, food and dietary industry experience a plus
• You must be able to read, write and understand English
