Position Summary
We are looking for a player/coach team lead for the sales engineering group. As the primary technical resources for our team of Enterprise Sales Executives, you will provide deep technical insights and guidance as our prospective customers learn about, evaluate, and purchase our solutions. Additionally, you will help to build the team, processes and customer-engagement models.
You will the technical expert and lead technical demonstrations to prospective clients, implement proof of concepts, and articulate the value of Vic.ai in technical detail. Additionally, you will be teaming with Customer Success to help on renewals and post-sales technical support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build the processes and structure to support a growing SE organization
- Support the technical aspects of sales calls and technical demos
- Drive successful POCs, including scoping, project management and successful completion of success criteria
- Ensure successful onboarding of customers
- Lead and participate in customer troubleshooting sessions
- Update external customer-facing documentation as needed
- Work closely with remote development teams on customer problems and troubleshooting issues
Must Have
- 5 + years of relevant experience as a Solutions or Sales Engineer
- Relevant management experience
- Experience with API integrations
- Experience implementing and configuring ERP systems
- Experience working with an ERP Systems Integrator, professional services or accounting firm
- Experience implementing and configuring ERP or related back-office systems
- Proven ability to work with customers and discern what problems they are attempting to solve, then translating those ideas into clear requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, managers, and developers
- Desire to work at an early stage, high-growth startup with a do whatever is needed attitude
- Demonstrated high level of self-direction and decision making
- Teaming with Customer Success to help on renewals and post-sales technical support
- A desire to help others, and to collaborate with both customers and team members
- Ability to manage the client relationship
- Understanding of modern web programming techniques and framework
- Minimum of Bachelor (BS) Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field or foreign degree equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Prior experience to code (ability to program at an intermediary level in JavaScript)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in and understanding of data and information management - especially as it relates to trends and issues within businesses; hands-on experience
- Hands-on working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience managing the agile development process to clearly define needed features and engineering vs customer timelines
- Strong project management experience
