This is a Contract position through Upwork’s Talent Innovation Program (TIP). Our TIP team is a global group of professionals that augment Upwork’s business. Our TIP team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:- Create the following persona-based long-form assets to drive customer engagement, acquisition, and retention:
- Whitepapers, ebooks, and guides
- SEO optimized articles
- Executive thought-leadership bylines
- Case studies
- Digital content experiences
- Develop compelling stories and inform content creation by leveraging relevant research to understand the needs of potential and existing customers, as well as collaborating with internal and external subject-matter experts to understand industry concepts and trends.
- Position Upwork’s key messaging, value propositions and differentiators in compelling ways and incorporate these elements into content assets as appropriate.
- Work cross-functionally with content, marketing, communications, and creative teams to develop content assets that contribute to and enhance integrated marketing campaigns.
- Update, rewrite and reoptimize existing content to improve performance and search ranking.
- Learn and maintain Upwork’s tone and voice.
- 7+ years of experience creating clear, concise and compelling B2B/enterprise content in a brand’s voice and tone and across various formats.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Excellent research, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Proven success working cross-functionally; strong interpersonal skills.
- A solid understanding of how content can be used across channels as part of integrated marketing campaigns.
- A journalism background and/or prior experience working in HR/staffing industries is a plus.
