As Senior Product Manager, Work Management Platform, you’ll lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the team that owns the core experiences that power Upwork – foundational features that allow millions of clients, freelancers, and agencies around the globe to use Upwork to accomplish incredible work.
This role directly enables multiple product teams to ship features optimally and scalably which is central to our company's mission to create economic opportunities so people can have better lives. We also believe that the end customer experience is a derivative of platform capabilities.
Your Responsibilities:- Customer-Centric approach: Put the customers at the forefront of everything the team does
- Define product roadmap for Work Management, working closely with functional partners and engineering leaders
- Prioritize features that need to be built with a balance of near-term results and longer-term investment in the platforms
- Translate marketplace requirements into generic work management platform capabilities that encompass core product platforms and associated customer experiences
- Deeply understand other product team's workflow and make trade-offs so that we can ship high-quality features quickly and at scale
- Previous experience, preferably as a full-stack product manager, building outstanding platform services at scale.
- Owned end-to-end creation of platform strategy, long-term roadmap, and execution that led to change in platform capabilities
- Deep understanding of partner needs, make trade-offs, and build agreement around roadmap decisions
- Data-driven with a strong focus on conversions and NPS through planning and experimentation
- Subject matter expertise in technologies and different technology integrations required to bring product solutions to market, at scale and globally
- Proficient interpersonal communicator; able to influence a wide range of collaborators all across the organization
- Prior experience working on offers, contracts, and payment integrations, preferably in an online marketplace, but not required
