About Our Candidate:
We are looking for an innovative and passionate Associate Product Manager who shares our vision of bringing the power of the Salesforce.com platform to KAR Global and who will contribute to several key areas within the Salesforce Portfolio. We are undergoing a massive digital transformation and this position will play a key role in leading that change.
As our Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for working along side KAR Global Salesforce technology teams to deliver innovative solutions to complex business problems. This requires a creative thinker and problem solver with a proven ability to break down requirements and translate them into successful executions. You will spend your time working through product discovery, driving releases, supporting product launches, and continuously optimizing each product throughout its life.
What You Will Be Doing:
Assist business stakeholders in the development of a strategic roadmap for the Salesforce platform to deliver best in class service to our customers and achieve our business goals.
Work closely with business unit teams, and other organizational SMEs, to discover their needs and document requirements for Salesforce applications.
Create and maintain a robust product backlog by breaking initiatives into clear user stories with acceptance criteria to be worked by the Salesforce technology team.
Have a “speed wins” attitude by defining MVP solutions that deliver value quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
Hold a high bar for quality: work with the development team to ensure that requirements are understood, fully implemented and properly tested so that every release is useful and reliable.
Facilitate the business unit’s engagement in the release and enablement of product features.
Monitor and measure the success of launched features to inform future product development and improvements.
Tenaciously work through issue identification, resolution, documentation and communication.
Become a Salesforce expert and provide guidance to the business on the capabilities and functionality of the Salesforce platform and processes
What You Need to Be Successful:
2+ years of Project or Product Management experience with a focus in IT Product; Automotive experience is a plus
Salesforce platform experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Strong customer orientation (internal customers and end-user customers)
Experience breaking work items into deliverable user stories and working with project teams to execute
Ability to think strategically, while being able to implement tactical plans
Proven ability to take initiative, use collaboration skills and build strong, productive relationships that drive influence across the organization
Strong time management skills: Must be proactive, organized, and focused to appropriately prioritize competinginitiatives
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak the language of technology and business teams
Previous experience working with remote teams is a plus
