About Us:
At Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT), we're unlocking the power of educator-created content. TpT gives educators access to a trusted, one-of-a-kind community. We are the world's first marketplace of our kind and founded by a teacher, for teachers as the go-to platform for teacher-created content for nearly 15 years. We are currently serving more than 7.5 million users and more than 85% of U.S. teachers. TpT is focused on building the next generation of e-learning experiences for millions of students and teachers across the world. If you haven't heard of TpT yet and want to learn more, just ask any teacher!
Role:
The Data Platform teams deliver value from data to power our products, provide insights about our users, products and business, and help empower TpT to unlock the collective wisdom of teachers. We provide insight, build infrastructure, and tooling that power TpT’s rapidly growing suite of products. In this role, you will be supporting and growing two teams that focus primarily on internal users across all of our products -- Analytics and Data Science.
As the manager for the Data Science and Analytics teams, you will scale the teams, drive their roadmaps, help establish their philosophy, and manage their relationships with other teams. Our data teams work closely with the Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams. Data Science uses research techniques such as statistical modeling and machine learning to explore data, test hypotheses, identify underlying causes and patterns, and find the best ways to turn these insights into product improvements. Analytics surfaces actionable insights via objective, data-driven, reporting to support company initiatives and strategic planning. We've recently brought the Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams together under a unified Data Platform team, building a more cohesive data function, with the teams working closely to consistently deliver value from our data.
As a manager you will play a formative role in this transformation, helping to guide the evolution of this next phase of data at TpT.
