More about our Notifications Team
One of the most popular ways for our customers to distribute their surveys is by email. Momentive sends over 1 billion email messages per year, and our Notifications Platform team manages the services and APIs which make that possible. We don't just do emails, though! True to our name, we also provide comprehensive push notification services to our mobile clients. In the future the Notifications Platform team is expanding to provide email, in-product, and mobile push notifications to the entire Momentive suite of products.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a QA engineer to join our dedicated Notifications Platform team in either Ottawa or Canada remote.
We're looking for QA engineers who are passionate about quality and know that working with our developers and production manager as part of an agile team is the best way of achieving this. You know that automated testing is the best way to ensure quality in code, but that manual testing is also an important aspect of the QA process. You want to help raise the standard of testing throughout the engineering team in Momentive through peer review and continuous training. You'll work with engineers and product managers, iterating quickly to ensure we build the best solutions for our users.
You will
- Create automation tests for our services and applications
- Manage the integration of automated and manual testing in our release process
- Use Jira to report issues and verify their resolution through automated and manual testing
- Actively contribute new ideas to a team that is committed to continuous improvement
- Collaborate with and mentor other QA engineers on best practices
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to ensure we are building the best solutions
- Work in an Agile environment with frequent feedback and deployments
You have
- Experience using Python and/or Javascript to develop automation tests
- Experience with case management tools like Test Rails and Jira
- Experience with automation tools like TestCafe and Selenium
- Cross-browser and cross-platform testing experience
- Experience verifying RESTful API services through code-based testing
