About the role:
Super Dispatch is looking for an experienced Data Scientist who can discover various patterns in large amounts of data, and build and maintain proactive, smart solutions based on discoveries.
In this role, you'll be focused on improving Pricing Engine, making it more accurate, reliable, easy to use.
Responsibilities:
- Build and evolve transformative, real-time transportation pricing engine based on machine learning and reflective of dynamic market conditions
- Build a deep understanding of the overall business of Super Dispatch and the Auto Transport industry
- Build data platforms analyzing product/customer/market data to discover insights, trends, and patterns useful for customers and business
- Improve existing recommendation or prediction engines by collaborating with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to improve data collection, handling and cleaning processes
- Develop subject matter expertise of data trends within the auto transport industry
- Provide thought leadership to the data science team building and modifying advanced analytics models
- Use forecasting and strategic planning to ensure accurate pricing
- Interpret and analyze data and business developments providing reporting and recommendations to make fact-based business decisions
Preferred Profile:
- Experience in developing and evolving complex high volume data models
- Experience with data management platforms including SQL (SSAS), Tableau and Jupyter Notebook and applied experience in data transformation and visualization (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Experience with probability theory
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques (Linear Models, Decision Trees, artificial neural networks) and their real-world advantages/disadvantages
- Knowledge of / experience with Python
- You are motivated to work in a fast-growth startup environment and can quickly demonstrate an understanding of market dynamics in the logistics ecosystem
- You have skills in business analysis as well as data analysis
- You have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects and work efforts on time
- You are willing to learn new tools and technologies to be able to work effectively in a rapid growth environment with changing needs and requirements
- You have demonstrated examples of strategic thinking and analytical problem solving
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills - you are a great writer, speaker, and listener. You can communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Timezone
You will be collaborating with our engineers located in Europe & Asia. We look for engineers who can adjust their working hours to the timezones between UTC+6 and UTC+1.
