Purpose of the roleThe Account Executive (AE) role is a solution sales role. You will be responding to inbound leads, but mostly you will be partnering with marketing and your dedicated BDR, to develop your own outbound accounts and opportunities. You will be managing the entire sales lifecycle from performing discovery, identifying stakeholders, negotiating blockers, to recommending innovative solutions that provide value to our customers. You will bring in other teammates as needed during the sales cycle (solutions engineering, technology experts, legal, etc.), but you will control the process end-to-end.
What you’ll need to bring to the roleYou are a Solutions Sales Expert. You listen with the intent to understand. You will speak from a customer and use-case perspective and will work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be able to alter your conversation to highlight our value propositions in a way that is relatable to your audience, from the CEO, to business line managers, to the front-line workforce who will use Spoke everyday. You will possess a level of technical understanding and/or experience in selling related technologies, (such as VoIP, Unified Communications, Contact Centers, or IT Networking, etc.), so you can talk with a level of technical authority, but no one expects you to know how it all works or implement it.
