As a business analyst at spinnaker consulting group, you will apply your strategic, analytical and technical skills to help clients solve complex business problems and achieve their objectives.
Your role:
Collaborate with our clients to identify opportunities ranging from credit to product design and marketing to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analyses utilizing tools and applications such as sql, , sas, or r to develop strategic business insights.
Prepare and present presentations recommending value-add business insights to senior leadership
Create new mathematical models and tools and visualize the results in dashboards for new insights.
Collaborate with operations and business leaders to conceptualize and define operational problems and develop future-state models and reports.
Independently overcome obstacles/impediments and provide solutions/advice to the client team
Use relationship management and delegation skills to effectively drive work through others (spinnaker and client)
Role model superior analytical skills for our clients’ team members, teaching and training them while we work
Potentially lead a team of analysts to deliver required tools while mentoring them and elevating their careers

Requirements:
Your experience:
You have five or more years’ experience working in a professional environment with a focus on marketing, product and/or risk analytics, business intelligence, and business operations
You have experience identifying a broad variety of business challenges and opportunities for improvement and are comfortable making strategic or tactical recommendations to solve them.
You have the proven ability to gather, research and structure data needed to solve complex business problems.
You have developed problem frameworks, hypotheses, conducted test and analysis that resulted in solutions to key business problems.
You have experience implementing new strategies including defining the scope of operational feasibility, supporting implementation efforts and developing valuable monitoring plans.
You are experienced in leading project delivery and communicating effectively to a wide audience.
You are self-directed, accountable, creative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client facing environment with a travel component when needed
You have a love of analysis and are an accomplished user of tools like sql, sas, and r.
Bonus: business process experience, training, and/or certification in lean, six sigma, or other standardized process methodologies
You earned bachelor’s or master’s degree(s) in a related discipline and strive to expand your technical knowledge on an ongoing basis
