SoundHound builds Voice AI products with conversational intelligence that’s more human. We voice-enable everything from cars, devices, services, and apps, allowing our customers to extend their brand in new and meaningful ways.
In this impactful role, you will have the opportunity to own the development of full-stack applications critical to SoundHound’s core business. You could be building out beautiful features on our Houndify website used by developers and Fortune 500 companies alike; you could be working on an internal application serving a key function such as exposing and understanding data to help improve our products. In this role you will:- Play a major role in the rapid development and launch of both internal and external web applications that are critical to SoundHound’s core business
- Have a voice in the design process by providing rapid prototypes to the team absent of complete requirements
- Collaborate with the product team, UX team, QA team, and server-side developers to deliver compelling and delightful user experiences
- Give significant input into the architecture, design, and development of new applications
- Write and deploy code daily
- You are a curious learner with strong software development skills, enabling you to meet deadlines while producing scalable and maintainable systems
- You can operate independently but are not afraid to seek help when you need it
- You have a good foundation in web frameworks and are looking to grow your knowledge and experience
- You have experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and version control (eg. Git)
- You have worked with the latest web frameworks and libraries such as NodeJS, Express, React, Redux,, and SASS
- You are familiar with relational databases such as MySQL
- You thrive when given high levels of responsibility and ownership
- You have experience integrating with REST and service-based architectures
- You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- You have 8-10 years of related industry experience
We’d be especially excited if you have side projects and interests that demonstrate your technical knowledge and highlight your interests, a GitHub profile, and fluency in a Unix environment.
