We are traffic engineers with a passion for planning and design! our team of traffic engineers and project managers have deep experience and up-to-date knowledge in:
Intelligent transportation systems (its)
Active traffic management (atm) systems and tools
Transportation system design using computer-aided design (cad) packages
Roadway lighting design using agi32 and other tools
Transportation management plans (tmps) and smart work zone systems for roadway construction projects
Computerized traffic signal systems
Traffic data analytics using tableau
Use of traffic management and analysis tools including highway capacity software (hcs), synchro, vissim, moves-matrix

Transportation planning project manager
Rybinski engineering is looking for a strong leader to facilitate high-level transportation programs and create clear, actionable plans to achieve results for our clientsThis position is for you if you are highly skilled in:

A comprehensive understanding of transportation planning principles and industry practices is a mustOur transportation planning project manager will be responsible for overseeing projects in the following areas:
High-level stakeholder coordination Transportation planning programs and initiatives Data-driven transportation planning and project prioritization Big data analytics Data visualization Public education Transportation systems management and operations Traffic operations modeling Innovative technology

We are a fully remote office and our client base is in maryland, delaware, and pennsylvaniaWe are interested in candidates nationwide who could work virtually for up to six months while arranging to relocate permanently to our areaThough we are a virtual office, we have frequent in-person client meetings during non-pandemic times, provide in-person support for our clients, and are available for field work on short notice.
As transportation planning project manager, you will:
Lead project teams of traffic engineers and planners Keep clients satisfied to encourage repeat business Deliver high-quality products and services within established schedules and budgets Develop project and work plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources Produce accurate and timely invoices Communicate with clients, team members, and external stakeholders Clearly define a program's long-term vision and how projects contribute Advocate for projects, predicting barriers and offering solutions
Ability to travel to client sites with same-day notice within maryland, delaware, and pennsylvania Bachelor of science in urban planning, civil engineering, or other relevant technology field Professional engineer (pe) license, project management professional (pmp) certification, or american institute of certified planners (aicp) certification Project management experience 7+ years of relevant experience Valid driver’s license Effective written and oral communication skills
Related master’s degree Professional transportation planner (ptp) certification Proficiency with arcgis, synchro, hcs, vissim, or other transportation modeling and simulation software Experience with rybinski engineering clients (e.g., mdta, mdsha, deldot, penndot) Track record of academic and professional acclaim Experience with apple applications
