Requirements
About the role
We’re looking for a web developer to join our team to own the development of our website https://www.rokt.comThis is a highly visible and impactful position that will give you the opportunity to shape our company’s home on the web while using the best and at times newest web technologies.
Responsibilities
Work with internal designers to build new and maintain existing pages on rokt.com
Set the direction for how we improve the code and overall architecture of rokt.comIt’s a multi language site built using astro with headless wordpress, hosted on netlify
Work with our internal marketing team to develop new tooling and processes to empower them to get the most out of our website
Research, make recommendations, and set standards for the tools we use to build the website
Collaborate with other website stakeholders to set priorities and manage expectations
Requirements
Deep understanding of latest web standards including html and building complex and responsive layouts using css
Extensive experience working with web browsersYou understand how varied html, css, and javascript implementations can be across competing browsers
Intermediate to advanced understanding of javascript and the knowledge and when and when not to use it on a website
Experience with—or a desire to learn—astro
Experience with netlify, vercel, or similar toolsWe use netlify
Experience using git and github to manage website projects and deployment processes
Experience building optimized, highly performant websites
Experience with optimizing images, videos, fonts, and other media assets for best performance
Experience with figma
A personal site, github repo(s), or other means of showing websites that you’ve built
