Responsibilities: as an investment operations analyst on our client support team , you`ll get to help shape the future of how we provide clients with accurate and consistent dataIn this role, you will get to independently work with data to support clients invested in principal global investors products across our global fund platforms, look for trends in those requests, and create tools and processes designed to efficiently disseminate data for future scalability.
The team operates in a fast-paced environment that places an emphasis on client first, collaboration, and maintaining an equitable and fun working environment.
Here are additional examples of the types of things you`ll do:
Collect, verify, and store investment data from multiple sources and various operational systems encompassing multiple asset classes including fixed income, equities, real estate and asset allocation.
Create reports using tools such as powerbi, morningstar direct, and factset to ensure fund data usability by others within the organization.
Serve as the first point of contact for distribution inquiries and work independently to ensure accurate and up to date fund information is provided to the client.
Interface with internal personnel including senior operations staff, global distribution, it, portfolio managers, and/or industry contracts to educate, provide direction, obtain information and resolve problems.
Demonstrate expertise in the areas of technical functions, research of issues, problem solving, independent decision making and effective communication.
Enhance understanding of principal global investors` products, team procedures, and clients` needs through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs and involvement in on-going investment activities.

Bachelor`s degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required
A minimum of 3 years` work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field preferred
Knowledge of financial services and investment related terminology required
Solid analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, time management, planning, decision making, and communication skills required
Knowledge of powerbi, macros, and pivot tables preferred
