Role description
As a Sr. Product Manager in the Growth organization, you will lead a cross functional team (engineering, design, research, marketing, etc.) to inflect Podium growth during a pivotal time as the company expands beyond its sales-first GTM motion into a faster growing self-serve first motion.
You will own high-visibility initiatives that drive the company’s long-term strategy and roadmap for new growth directions that introduce Podium to small and medium-sized local businesses all over the world. You will execute projects with engineers, designers, analysts, and marketers in a hyper-growth environment. The role requires a mix of analytical horsepower, relentless execution, and well-honed customer judgment. You will be responsible for delivering best in class experiences to acquire new users and convert them into loyal paying subscribers, driving both user and business wins while also building integrated ways that grow a multi-product portfolio at scale.
You will join as the second Product Manager on Growth, and founding member of the newly established growth team focused on driving new user acquisition. The ideal candidate is obsessed with customers and ownership while thriving zero-to-one environments with a high level of ambiguity and autonomy.
What you will do
- Drive growth in user adoption and engagement using data-driven product bets
- Work to develop a product growth model and continue to refine it through fast-paced experimentation and research
- Partner with design and engineering teams to ship new, impactful changes, including preparing necessary technical specifications, coordinating development activity, and tracking the progress of in-flight projects
- Recognize gaps and drive projects with minimal guidance and focus on making a significant business impact
- Work closely with product marketing, customer support, sales, strategy and users to deeply understand, document, analyze, and synthesize user needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications
- Process, review and interpret large bodies of qualitative and quantitative data to develop the right product experiences for our local businesses to find value quickly
- 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years working in new products or startups
- Proven track record of driving user growth
- 0 → 1 or founder mindset with a bias toward maximum ownership, action, and impact in the shortest amount of time
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and have resiliency
- Ability to analyze and use data to inform decisions
- Ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, data science, cross-functional teammates, and c-level executives
- Ability to communicate concisely and influence outcomes
- Passionate about talking to customers regularly
- Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking
- Ability to independently initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance and speed of execution
- Skilled in the creation of delightful, polished and performant products for customers in every market and on any device
- Experience with software development, product design, interaction design, or marketing is a plus!
- Entrepreneurial background is a plus!
