Our client is seeking a Sr. Web Attack and Fraud Projection Cyber Security Engineer to implement the latest Botnet and Fraud detection technology and strategies to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the Navy Federal Credit Union enterprise is resilient, effective across the organization and scalable. Additionally, this position will provide cybersecurity engineering support to research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Provide technical and engineering support for projects. This position may require after hours support during enterprise maintenance windows and as needed to support escalated issues related to the Navy Federal Akamai product suite.

Responsibilities:

Serve as an Akamai platform SME and support NFCU Employees regarding all aspects of the management of the Akamai Platform.
Test the leading technology supporting authoritative DNS Edge solutions, Botnet and fraud solutions
Experience using CloudFlare and AWS Route 53, WAF
Monitor, on a weekly basis, the population of externally advertised NFCU websites and webservices to determine if sites or services have been added or removed.
Work with business owners to onboard or off board their sites and services from the Akamai platform.
Scrub the current list of websites and services both under and not under Akamai and determine sites and services that should remain under Akamai and what should be removed from Akamai.
Develop procedures for the onboarding and off boarding of sites and services behind Akamai.
Perform other duties as assigned or appropriate

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the Akamai, Cloudflare and AWS product suite and how these technologies are leveraged within an Enterprise environment
Working knowledge of software configuration, management, and administration
Experience in and knowledge of IT operations and change management
Familiarity with security operations and cyber-attack methods a plus
Ability to take direction from management and lead engineers
Effective skill in achieving goals through influence, collaboration, and cooperation
Effective skill in demonstrating Integrity and high standards of personal and professional conduct
Working knowledge of cyber security engineering
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills

Desired:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
Familiarity with security operations and cyber-attack methods
Working knowledge of cyber architectures
CISSP, CISA, GIAC, CCNA or other related Information Security certifications
Experience with one or more cyber security detection/technologies/tools
