Overture home care currently seeks an on-call scheduling coordinatorThe on-call scheduling coordinator will report directly to the care coordinatorThe primary responsibility of the on call scheduler will be handling all after-hours calls and handling scheduling emergencies including late clock-ins and call-offs from the hours of 9:00am saturday morning until 9:00am monday morning.

The on-call scheduling coordinator is a dynamic problem-solver who is proactive, highly organized, an effective communicatorThis position will serve as a key liaison between office staff, clients, and caregivers.
The primary responsibility of the on-call scheduling coordinator is to effectively and efficiently handle after-hours calls related to caregivers’ schedules, ensuring that all scheduled shifts are filled and any problems that arrive are solvedThe on-call scheduling coordinator also maintains the a professional relationship with caregivers, clients, and family members.
Respond to incoming after hours calls, and mass messages in a courteous and timely manner (immediately and no more than 5 minutes after message has been sent).
Triage and prioritize after hour phone calls and messages, communicate with clients and caregiving staff to ensure client needs are metCommunicate with office staff when necessary.
Staff open shifts as soon as a caregiver call-off is received following designated office scheduling procedures.
Coordinate, manage, and maintain all client/caregiver schedules using clearcare scheduling software.
Review caregiver skill set, availability, preferences, and geographic information to appropriately match caregivers with existing and new clients.
Adjust schedules as needed when changes in clients’ conditions warrant increases or decreases in service or changes to regular schedulesDocument all changes as needed.
Prepare a brief written report at the end of each shift with a summary of requested changes from caregivers and/or clients, action taken, and any follow up needed by office staff.
Notify management of quality assurance issues.
Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
Skills and abilities
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized, able to prioritize and change direction as needed.
Able to effectively communicate on the phone in a clear and detailed manner.
Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
Strong computer skills and comfortable with technology and familiar with or able to learn and use clearcare scheduling software.
Critical thinker with the ability to use good judgement and make good decisions.
Team player with initiative and enthusiasm.
Possess a strong desire to serve others - former experience caregiving and/or at a home care agency or assisted living facility is a plus.
Great energy, empathy, and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
Must own a computer or tablet with reliable internet connection and a cell phone with calling and texting capabilities.
Experience with scheduling, preferably as a scheduler or staffing coordinator in home care, home health, or a medical office.
High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
Must be able to handle the mental and emotional stress that comes with taking a 48 hour on call shift.
