The Role:
The Manager of Incentive Compensation is a key member of Newsela’s GTM operations who will partner with operations, HR, and finance leadership to drive the development and maturity of Newsela’s sales incentive compensation program. As part of the Revenue Operations team, working in collaboration with the Director, Revenue Operations, this individual will own sales incentive plan development and administration across Newsela’s GTM departments. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of incentive programs and analysis. This includes the development and management of sales incentive plans, policy formation and enforcement, individual plan enablement and communication, development of target compensation structures, and ICM tool management.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
You’re motivated to design and not just manage. To build a comp program with your own vision, and not just maintain what you’re given. As leader within the Revenue Operations team, you will partner with management across finance, sales, success, product, marketing, and data to drive Newsela’s significant investment in operational maturity. You will also have the ability to influence critical GTM strategies and operational structures across the company. Most importantly, you get to work with a group of people who are smart and passionate about building a business disrupting a $10B market segment. Your work will enable Newsela to scale quickly and efficiently, and will ultimately help increase our ability to get engaging, culturally responsive learning content into K-12 schools and districts nationwide.
Why We’ll Love You:
You have 5+ years of experience in sales compensation management or sales operations with a focus on the design of variable comp plans, policy, systems, and comp analysis. Ideally, you’ve done so in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS business. You have experience implementing and working within an incentive compensation tool (e.g. Xactly, Varicent, etc.). You are a self-starter with exceptional business judgment, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of setting and following through on priorities. Most importantly, you’re a team player that’s more who’s focused on getting “it” right as opposed to being right.
