Introduction
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Senior Director, Brand Management and Marketing, will be responsible for all retail revenue activities surrounding: provincial boards, key accounts, white label partnerships and sales distributor relationships. This role will lead Motif’s internal marketing, creative, and commercialization teams, as well as the external Sales distributor on all sales/marketing efforts driving revenues on a national scale at all levels of the retail sell-through process. The Senior Director, Brand Management and Marketing will be an experienced brand executive capable of building strong relationships at the required levels and have a thorough understanding of the retail sales landscape. Ideally, this position will be based in the Greater Toronto Area as a remote extension to our team.

Position Overview
- Responsible for all aspects of internal brands and external white-label brand partners
- Lead all aspects of brand development and marketing direction for Motif and its internal brands, including but not limited to visual branding, advertising, PR, trade marketing, thought leadership, social media, etc.
- Oversee all sell-through activities of internal brands including marketing, merchandising, promotions, program management and client relationships
- Responsible for external white-label brand success, including but not limited to managing brand relationships as per brand agreement, Motif responsibilities, vendor relationships, etc.
- Oversee relationships and success of third-party sales partners, sales agencies, and sales distributor of Motif internal brands and external white-label brands and other related vendors and contractors
- Continue to hone processes for brand partners including, but not limited to brand onboarding decision process, pricing strategy, overall brand portfolio strategy, ongoing brand management processes. Ensure the national success of all partner brands through facilitating sell-through and wide-spread SKU listings
- Act as the primary contact, establish and build relationships with key retail accounts
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies for Motif Labs wholesale/tolling (B2B) and internally owned brands (B2C) using all forms of classic and modern marketing channels.
- Manage and lead Product Commercialization and Marketing teams, working collaboratively with operations and Executive team to ensure strong brand and marketing contribution to support company goals
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years brand management experience within cannabis industry
· Minimum 5 years CPG brand management experience
· Proven brand strategy development skills
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Understanding of regulated sales and key account management
· Experience managing and holding sales agencies accountable
· P&L ownership experience
· Market share, pricing and competitive analysis skills and experience
· Ability to develop, define and deliver on relevant KPI’s
· Revenue generation skills and experience
· New product development and brand launch experience
· Strong communication skills
· Strong project management skills
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field. MBA preferred
