Mindoula is seeking a Vice President of Program Innovation, Design, and Training for its Population Health programs to support our fast-growing organization. The right candidate understands what it takes to design Population Health programs, train teams, and ensure the quality needed to deliver consistent outcomes, inside a high-growth, venture/PE-backed company. This is a highly visible role working alongside the COO, our VP Pop Health Operations, and with Program Directors across all of our Population Health programs. The right candidate is a leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump in on day one.
We are seeking our Vice President of Program Innovation, Design, and Training to work with us remotely across North America.
How you will contribute;
- Design and develop both Mindoula’s clinical and non-clinical programs, including the suite of Population Health programs, the Collaborative Care Program, as well as new programs and program extensions as they arise and evolve.
- Own the responsibility of designing a set of programs that can be delivered sustainably, at scale, and with the highest quality and which produce nationally recognized outcomes.
- Lead the creation and regular refresh of playbooks for all existing programs, in partnership with the VP’s of Program Operations and the Program Directors, based on best practices and a philosophy of continuous improvement, to ensure the teams have all the tools they need to excel at their jobs and deliver excellent outcomes for our members, patients, and partners.
- Lead the creation of new programs (and program extensions) based on market need and input from our partners, ensuring that Mindoula remains recognized for its innovation, responsiveness, and ability to deliver distinct solutions with meaningful outcomes across the continuum of care, especially for the most complex lives.
- Plan the annual training calendar for all business lines, create training content and presentations, and deliver training with the support of a small team.
- Continually update and refresh all training for the teams, covering a variety of mediums (PowerPoint, informational sheets, videos, etc.) and throughout the lifecycle of the programs, such as:
- Employee onboarding
- Program design basics
- Context for program design, to help field employees understand their communities (e.g., a review of the various types of interpersonal violence to enable the team to better support patients in the Interpersonal Violence Reduction Program)
- Brief therapeutic interventions (e.g., motivational interviewing)
- Observe teams in the field, on calls, and through case note review and other program documentation for continuous feedback and improvement and to inform program design.
- Support teams to identify and close gaps in care and quality, on a continuous basis, through better program design and training, and to ensure that we meet all federal compliance requirements and standards.
- Identify and develop creative and engaging content for additional media (e.g., portal, app) based on clinical best practices to enlighten and empower our members.
- Partner with compliance to design internal auditing and feedback tools and calendars to ensure program delivery exceeds best practice standards and all quality requirements.
- Serve as a clinical resource for all program leads with questions or clarifications on best practices, complex cases, service plan development, and in building new training or programs.

What will make you successful;
- Required degrees and/or licenses within LCSW, LCPC, RN, NP, PA-C, Ph.D.
- 5-7 years of experience in the behavioral health field
- Thorough, solid knowledge of healthcare and managed care administration
- Understanding of current population health management strategies such as health education, case, and disease management, demand management resource utilization, and risk assessment
- Experience with creating from ideation population health programs with demonstrated outcomes
- Experience with training distributed teams in multiple formats, including virtual training
- Direct team management experience
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and determine solutions for program design and training
- Experience with technology platforms and stakeholder needs, to help with prioritizing development roadmaps
- Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment while considering new and untested approaches
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail

Location: Remote - based in any of Mindoula’s current or upcoming markets. Regular travel is expected to HQ and Mindoula markets as needed, especially for new launches as offices reopen and face-to-face interactions again become the norm.
